“The gentle and sensitive companionship of an empathic stance… provides illumination and healing. In such situations deep understanding is, I believe, the most precious gift one can give to another..” ~ Carl Rogers
On a personal note:
Psychotherapy and counselling are where my true passion lies. I’m moved by the courage it takes to turn inward and explore what’s difficult, and I find it deeply rewarding to witness and support that process.
Outside the therapy room, you’ll often find me in the garden tending plants, harvesting fruit & veggies, or simply observing the quiet rhythm of the seasons: bees moving between flowers, the emergence of new leaves or blossoms, and the fascinating world of various birds and animals who share the space with me. Nature has taught me a lot about patience, resilience, and the value of slowing down.
I also practice Yoga and Qi Gong, kayak when I can, engage in creative projects, and cherish time with friends, family and animals. Music and creative expression have always been important parts of how I connect with life.
Throughout my 40+ years, I’ve lived in many different ways and places, encountered a wide range of people and experiences, and navigated my share of challenges. These experiences have deepened my empathy and shaped how I approach this work. They’ve taught me so much about the scope of what it is to be human, and they allow me to meet each person with genuine curiosity, compassion and understanding.
